Light Rapid Transit (LRT) Jakarta partners with ISS Indonesia in a Collaboration Action of Clean, Safe and Friendly of “LRTJ Akbar” or The Great LRTJ event. The action is held on 28 and 29 April 2021, which consists of disinfectant cleaning or misting activity at five houses of worship that locate along LRT Jakarta station lines in North Jakarta and East Jakarta districts.

Those five houses of worship are Al Musyawarah Mosque, Theravada Buddha Sasana Monastery, Masehi Advent Hari Ke Tujuh Church, Jami Nurul Huda Mosque and Raudhatul Jannah Mosque. The collaboration action aims to build public awareness to collaborate each other and the spirit of solidarity among religious communities to create a clean, healthy and safe culture.

LRTJ Akbar is part of the 3rd Anniversary of LRT Jakarta in the form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) collaboration which is held in the holy month of Ramadan. The action performs by volunteers from LRT Jakarta employees or known as Insan LRTJ, ISS Indonesia employees and Bagiada.id community, by following the implementation of health protocols and procedures.

Considering that the activities in houses of worship have currently started to be active by implementing health protocols, clean and safe conditions are needed to ensure that people can carry out their obligations properly and solemnly.

President Director of PT LRT Jakarta, Wijanarko, says, “The disinfectant cleaning activity at various houses of worship around the LRTJ are our efforts to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, as well as to provide a sense of comfort and safety for people in worshiping.”

Meanwhile, CEO & President Director of ISS Indonesia, Elisa Lumbantoruan, says, “This activity is also a contribution from the LRTJ and ISS to build public awareness to jointly maintain and preserve the cleanliness of public facilities in order to cut and reduce the risk of transmission of the Covid-19.”

PT LRT Jakarta is committed to always support all efforts in preventing and reducing transmission rate of the Covid-19. “People can still do their activities in houses of worship as long as they maintain the implementation of health protocols by consistently applying the 5M (wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, social distancing, avoiding crowds and limiting their mobilisation and physical interaction),” Wijanarko adds.
