Supporting Wildlife Protection through Pet Sitter Services

Since 2020, ISS Indonesia has partnered with PT Timah Tbk in implementing the Pet Sitter Program, an initiative that supports wildlife protection and ecosystem conservation across the company's operational areas.

The program is carried out at several strategic locations, including Site Bangka, Site Kundur, and the Alobi Wildlife Conservation area. As part of this initiative, ISS Indonesia assigns Placemakers to serve as Pet Sitters, providing ongoing operational support for the company's conservation efforts.

Meeting the Customer's Operational Needs

As a company committed to sustainability, PT Timah Tbk requires reliable operational support to ensure that animals under its care receive proper attention and treatment.

Through its Pet Sitter services, ISS Indonesia's Placemakers are responsible for caring for a wide range of animals, including protected wildlife, company-owned animals, and animals temporarily rescued from local communities before being released back into their natural habitats.

Their responsibilities include preparing and providing food, sourcing natural feed, monitoring the animals' health and behaviour on a regular basis, and supporting rehabilitation efforts until the animals are ready to return to the wild.
